Hi there, and welcome to your new homeschool year!

I am Allira and this is the home of JOYschool Homeschool, one of the leading homeschool curriculum  providers in Australia for over 5 years

Many families don't know that to homeschool, you don't need to enrol in a distance education program. Or do 'school from home'. Homeschooling, using your own choice of resources, is a legally valid educational choice in Australia and (in the times of COVID) many other countries.

In recent studies, it has been proven that young people who learn from home, consistently do better emotionally, academically and sociologically, and often out-perform their peers in entering higher education.

JOYschool Homeschool (formerly Teen Homeschooling Australia) gives you a flexible way to homeschool, by providing you with ready-made curriculum in the form of ebooks and research project PDF's for teenagers, that you can pick and choose from, in your own time, at your own pace, and with all of the benefits that homeschooling has to offer.

JOYschool homeschool offers you the most flexible way to homeschool, while not having to write your own learning materials.

Become part of our community here, and download resources, ebooks and projects to get started in your homeschooling right away.

I see you Mama. Together we are going to bring your amazing family vision to life. Let's begin.

JOYschool Homeschool is a flexible way to homeschool, utilising the freedom of the world wide net to study from anywhere in the world, using just your computer.

Tweens and teenagers browse through a range of fun, academic ebooks and projects based on the national curriculum guidelines, download the ones that they like, and get started on them straight away.

There is no waiting, no deadlines, no pressure.

And all of the hard work has been done for you.

In addition, all resources are created by university qualified academic tutors with a minimum of 10 years experience in academia.

Although we have had innumerable students comment that it is so fun that the projects don't even feel like work!

FAQ's - why homeschool like this? How about

distance   education?

There are as many different ways to homeschool as there are different families, and no one way is the right way for everybody.

Distance education is a valid educational choice for families that like to be in a 9 - 5 structured learning environment, and for young people who want a school-at-home environment.

Homeschooling with JOYschool homeschool resources and curriculum is different in that our focus is on:

  • Joyful learning - research has shown that we are far more likely to retain information if we are interested and passionate about what we are learning, and we CHOOSE to learn the information ourselves. Forced learning is the least effective way to learn, and our brains are far less likely to retain information if we are in a high-pressure environment, with testing, deadlines and are rushed through materials. We don't test or pressure students because this method of education doesn't work. We simply create interesting, exciting projects and our students love to take part.

  • Raising a person and not just a student - learning emotional and social intelligence is just as important (if not more important) than academic intelligence. Our curriculum and resources reflect this, and give students that opportunity to explore important topics, as they grow closer to entering adult life, and being responsible global citizens.

  • Critical thinking - JOYschool resources encourage students to really dive deep in to important topics, and think critically about them, which is a key skill that they will use over and over again in higher education and their future careers.
